How does the image resizer work?
Billu's Image Resizer uses the browser's built-in Canvas API to scale images to your exact pixel dimensions, completely offline. No file is ever sent to a server — resizing happens instantly in your tab using hardware-accelerated graphics.
Enter a target width, and with "Maintain aspect ratio" ticked, the height is calculated automatically so your image doesn't stretch or squash. You can also unlock both fields to set a precise width × height crop.
The Quality slider controls JPEG compression applied at export. 90% gives near-lossless output; 70–80% is ideal for web delivery. Output is always saved as JPEG for maximum compatibility and smallest file size.
Common use cases: resizing product photos for e-commerce listings (typically 800×800 or 1200×1200), shrinking banner images for email templates, scaling down photographs before attaching to emails, or meeting social media dimension requirements like Twitter cards (1200×628) or Instagram squares (1080×1080).
